Data Protection Policies
How Money-Wise, a brand of RH Group Limited, handles, processes and stores your personal data, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

1. How we handle your data
- We collect only what a service needs, and say why next to every form.
- We use your information only for the purpose you gave it for.
- Your financial details, such as Health Check answers, income, debts, goals and coaching notes, are kept strictly confidential and seen only by the people helping you.
- We never sell your data or use it for advertising by other companies.
- You can correct your details at any time from your profile, or by asking us.
2. How we process your data
We use your information to:
- Run your account, save your results and plans, and give you access to your courses;
- Take payments and send receipts;
- Reply to your enquiries and deliver Discovery Calls, coaching and events;
- Send the Money-Wise Minute and other updates, only if you sign up, and you can unsubscribe at any time;
- Understand how the site is used, using analytics cookies only if you accept them;
- Keep the site safe and meet our legal obligations.
Providers that process data for us
Trusted providers help us run Money-Wise: website hosting, email, payments, course videos, our AI assistant Sema, and analytics only if you accept analytics cookies. Each receives only what its task needs and may use it only on our instructions. Ask us for the full list at any time.
Automated results and AI
Health Check scores and tool recommendations are worked out automatically from your answers. They are guidance only and never decide whether you can use a service. Sema, our AI assistant, answers chats on the website and helps us reply to your emails. You can always ask for a person instead, and you never need to share PINs, passwords or ID numbers with Sema.
3. How we store and protect it
Your data is stored securely on servers in the European Union. Some of our providers process data in other countries; we only use providers that protect it as the Kenya Data Protection Act requires.
Every connection to the site is encrypted, you sign in with a single-use code sent to your email rather than a password, and card and M-Pesa details go straight to the payment provider, so we never see them.

After that, the information is deleted or anonymised so it no longer identifies you.
If something goes wrong
If your data is ever lost or exposed, we act at once to contain it, and we tell you and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner where the law requires.
4. Your rights and choices
You can:
- Get a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Have wrong or incomplete data corrected;
- Have your data deleted;
- Object to how we use it, including all marketing;
- Receive the data you gave us in a portable format;
- Complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).

Deleting your data
With an account, open your profile and choose Delete my account. Without one, for example after a form, a newsletter sign-up or an email, use Delete my data and confirm from the link we email you. Payment records stay for as long as the law requires.

Accounts, purchases and coaching are for adults aged 18 and over. Younger learners use Money-Wise with a parent or guardian.
